Name/Age: Mary///19 years old

What types of creative activites do you do? (Writing, Art, Photo.): I am trying to get back into writing, photography, painting, mixed media, collage, etc.

Name some creative writers or artists who you enjoy: There is this girl that I met on DevArt a few years back-- I love her work.  www.seealrun.deviantart.com

Do you have any recent muses or inspirations?: That's what I am here for!

Why do you want to join i_n_s_p_i_r_e?: To talk to artists, to awaken the muse within, meet new people, stuff like that.

Any guilty obsessions?: oooh many, but I wouldn't dare share them! :D

Completely aside from the arts, what is a random fact about you that you believe everyone should know?: Um...I don't think there is anything that people need to know, but I never get around to mentioning the fact that I sang country music professionally for almost 6 years when I am talking to people.

Please post either a picture of yourself, or a picture that resembles you in any way, shape or form. (This is where you can get creative) Also please include a sample of your creative work so we can get to know you a little better.

This is me!

This is a poem I wrote some time ago for my first love. It is very personal, but it is the only recent work I have. Please don't steal it! I poured my soul and tears into this for him after we were no longer and he was moving to Georgia from West Virginia.

He actually wrote part of the poem about 2 years beforehand in a collab. we did together. It seemed like he wrote it knowing how things were going to end up. The part he wrote is the stanza immediately following, "I. ONE"

There are a couple of referrences to titles of songs and movies we both loved together and a referrence to a poem I had written him when we first met.

The title means, "Lovers are Lunatics".

AMANTES sunt AMENTES

Chest chest chest

And I was burning up

Burning up inside of

Inside of my own

Fucking

Skin. //Feel your breathing//

                         in.my.chest chest chest

                                   caving in for you

He will say

OH

WHEN WE WERE YOUNG

YOUng

For you

Shuffling

Shuffling

My heart

For you

For me

                                    //DROWNING//

Skip skipp skipping

Rocks

And the clock; tick tock

Pulling me toward earth

Gravity mocking

Me;

You;

Everyone we know:

Inevitable!

And you’re yet

In Montana, Carolina, California

                        Sweep away my head

                        Heart

                        Pushing blood;

                        Still

While I sleep alone

 In the valley, OH!

And dream of…

I.

ONE

Twice the cylinder; opposing a paradox
We're twined and forced to
Solve this together; if we can
With such a sheltered memory
I can look back and
Recall all the moments I spent
Thinking of you and thinking
About how tough we were together
Now we're shooting ourselves in the feet
And messing up the only good thing;
that  we have;
that we're willing to admit
Is ours!

This is;NO;

Enchanting

Love song//

More a parable

Of him//her

of YOU AND ME

Swimming in a lake of

And I tried not

Crying

I regret

But never regretting brief moments

Of your arms

And my

Chest chest chest

Is burning up

                 //UPHEAVAL//

Always looking back at you

Your hands pushing down

[EXPECTATION]

[DISAPPOINTMENT]

[REGRET]

Expelling this from my stomach

In lieu of the fabulous and somewhat inattentive mod who is currently out of country, I bid thee a rather belated welcome to our humble community. May you enjoy your stay.
